Hey guys. I just want to start off by saying thank you if you have been following my journey. I don’t have a lot of time so i am gonna keep this post short. As you know i started this experiment about 16 days ago. I started this experiment to see what would happen when it hit two different websites with two different amounts of links from the BuildMyRank network. I have created all of the posts for both websites so that they will be promoted for one month.

Please refer to the first part of this series if you would like to see what the websites look like using Market Samuari, and you can also see what they were ranking at the start.

So here are the rankings for website number 1 after 16 days of promotion using the 7-10 posts per day setting on the BMR network:

Man it is a lot of work getting these pictures on here from Market Samurai, then doing all of the editing to remove the URLs and exact keywords i am targeting, but i do it for you guys!

Rankings for website 2 after 16 days of promotion using the 4-6 posts per day setting on the BMR network

So as you can see both websites have jumped quite dramatically just over these 16 days. Unfortunately Google is truly an odd program. For the last couple of days website #2 had lost rankings for all the keywords. Basically since all of these keywords are targeted with one page, if the page vanishes, all of the keywords vanish as well.

For two days or so the traffic for this website dropped to about zero visitors per day since this one page brings in virtually all of the traffic. I have no clue why this happened for only a couple of days, so we are learning things right? What really matters is the fact that all of the keywords across both websites have shot up the rankings. I estimate within another month all of these keywords for both websites will be in the number position in Google.

So what have we learned so far? Its kind of too early to tell, but i have definitely lost the fear that i used to have when it comes to linkbuilding too quickly. I believe the 4-6 and 7-10 posts settings on BMR will absolutely kill your rankings, in a good way. Website number 1 has Adsense on it, and website number 2 has Amazons Affiliate program.

It is odd, because the combined total exact searches for website number 1 is probably a few thousand, and most of those keywords are in the top 3 of Google, yet the website i only getting around 10 visitors per day. This is likely due to seasonal trends or something. I will investigate it further and let you guys know what is going on.

With the next update i will try to add the exact searches per month for all the keywords, and i will check into the traffic trends to see why website 1 hasn’t taken off traffic wise. This experiment will probably end by new years, since i simply cannot provide the amounts of posts needed for it. I have already invested about 700$ worth of man hours for this 1 month of experiment, since website 1 required about 300 BMR posts, and website 2 needed about 180 BMR posts.

Check back soon to see how this experiment ends, and i will likely continue to keep you all updated concerning how these websites pan out over time since this experiment. Until next time folks, i have some tacos to make.

  1. Pretty neat experiment Julian. I’m actually getting ready to add BMR back into my link building after a couple months off.

I’ll be sure to check back in to see how this turns out.

Did you figure out why this is happening? I have the same thing happening with some of my keywords.
