Hello everyone. This is the beginning of fantastic linkbuilding experiment. I am only using a single backlink service called Build My Rank. I have been using this service for about 3 months now. I have submitted a few hundred posts through the service and i am getting some great movements in the SERPS.

So what is this experiment all about?

This is what i am going to do. I have selected two websites of mine that have been up and running for about the same time. These two websites have been receiving links from the BMR service for about two months now. The both websites are setup to target a wide range of keywords.

The first month of promotion each website received 1 link per day for 30 days. The second month of promotion each website received 1-3 links per day. This is one of the settings that BMR allows you to choose from. I have reached the end of my second month of promotion for these two websites.

How are these two websites setup?

Each of these websites have a targeted money page. One website is monetized using the Amazon Associates Program, and the other has Google Adsense on it. The website that is selling Amazon products currently makes about 1 sale per day. Each of these sales for this website nets about 1.60$ in commission. This website is obviously going to work the best by getting me into the higher-paying commission tier for the Amazon Associates Program.

The second website with Google Adsense on it does not make much of anything right now since it has low traffic. Both Websites have multiple pages, but only 1 page(or post) that targets a large variety of different keywords. By choosing a single money page to send my links to it really helps to diversify things.

Some people prefer to write many pages of content that targets 1 keyword per page. I choose one single page and i target a wide range of different keywords. This makes my linkbuilding campaign much more natural looking when the search engines come knocking. Below i will list information for the two websites that will be used in this experiment.

Note: the DA in the above picture stands for “Domain Age”. It says 7 for some reason, but i purchased the domain about 5 months ago, so that is the real amount of time that website has been indexed in Google for.

This is an image showing all of the keywords that the single money page is targeting for website number 1.

The image has been edited so that keyword and URLs for my website are not shown. The last few keywords in the image had to by cropped from a second image since Market Samurai does not show all of your keywords in the program without scrolling down. So the last five keywords in the image have been taken from a second screen capture since i couldn’t fit all of the keywords into one image without editing.

In the image the G/Y/B  stands for Google, Yahoo, and Bing. These are the three major search engines, that is why you track your rankings in them. Each time you run a rankings check with Market samurai it will turn each ranking into one of three colors. If the number is red, that means your rankings for that keyword have gone down in the rankings.

Keep in mind that the closer to the number one spot your keywords are ranking the better. when numbers are green, that means that the rankings has improved since the last time the Rank Checker module was ran inside Market samurai. The last time i ran the Rank Tracker module in Market Samurai was today when i put this page up, or Tuesday, November 22 2011.

As you can see i have done a better job editing this image. Sadly, Market Samurai cannot show all of my keywords on one single screen capture because i am targeting so many.

Anyway, so these are the keywords that website #2 is targeting with one single money page. I choose to target this many keywords with one page because it gives me more control, and link diversification.

With so many keywords targeted with one page, you will have a very diverse backlink profile so you don’t run the risk of being penalized by any particular search engine algorithm. So as of Tuesday, November 22 2011, these are the keyword rankings. At some point i will edit these images and add in the word count and search volume for each keyword.

 What are the options for Build My Rank?

This particular link building service will allow you to choose how many articles go out each day to promote your website. This is very convenient because it really takes a lot of the work out of promoting your website. You see, i don’t mind waiting for months to get results. Build My Rank allows me to basically inject the promotion articles upfront, and it will post them exactly how i want over a period of time.

The posting options are as follows:

The above options are pretty self-explanatory. The last option called “scheduled” allows you to assume full control over your linkbuilding campaign. You can choose which posts to schedule on exact dates so you truly can choose exactly how many articles go out to promote your website each day.

The Point Of This Linkbuilding Experiment:

So, what is the point of this whole experiment? Since i have been using the Build My Rank service i have never gone beyond the 1-3 articles per day option. I am taking two websites that are both about 5 months old, and hitting them each with different options.

Website #1 will get the  7-10 articles per day option selected for it

Website#2 will get the 4-6 articles per day option selected for it

You will be able to follow along with me as i put the Build My Rank linkbuilding service to the test. I have already seen lots of movement with the keywords shown in the images above.

I feel like i could be hitting these websites harder with more links so get them to the number 1 spot in Google much faster. Along the way i will share information concerning the two websites, traffic analysis, revenue, and so much more. Stay tuned for the next update.
